Many of you will be interested to know what’s happening across the Commonwealth to mark The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. Here’s a selection of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee events and Royal visits planned to mark the occasion.
Antigua and Barbuda
The Earl and Countess of Wessex visit to Antigua and Barbuda as part of the Diamond Jubilee celebrations.
Australia
The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall visit to Australia as part of the Diamond Jubilee celebrations.
The Prime Minister to light a Jubilee Beacon on Parliament House on 4 June 2012.
The Bahamas
Prince Harry visit to The Bahamas as part of The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations.
Barbados
The Earl and Countess of Wessex visit to Barbados as part of The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations.
Belize
Prince Harry visit to Belize as part of The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations.
Canada
The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall visit to Canada as part of The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Celebration.
The Canadian High Commission will be holding a ‘Big Jubilee Lunch’ on 3 June 2012 in Canada House. There is a special website ‘The Canadian Heritage Diamond Jubilee’ where you can find out about the many events happening in the country.
Grenada
The Earl and Countess of Wessex visit to Grenada as part of The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations.
Grenada has chosen to commemorate The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee with ‘A Year of Activities’ – launched in May 2011 and culminating in June 2012 with an official celebratory ceremony and torch walk.
Jamaica
Prince Harry visit to Jamaica as part of The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations.
New Zealand
The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall visit to New Zealand as part of The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations
A whole programme of events is planned for New Zealand during the Central Weekend including a Diamond Jubilee Choral Evensong at Christ Church Cathedral on 3 June 2012 and A Monarch New Zealand Diamond Jubilee luncheon on 4 June 2012. New Zealand will light a Jubilee beacon – which is predicted to be the world’s first one – to be lit at 6am on 4 June 2012 in Marlborough.
Papua New Guinea
The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall visit to Papua New Guinea as part of The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations.
St Christopher and Nevis
The Earl and Countess of Wessex visit to St Christopher and Nevis as part of The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations.
St Lucia
The Earl and Countess of Wessex visit to St Lucia as part of The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations.
St Vincent and the Grenadines
The Earl and Countess of Wessex visit to St Vincent and the Grenadines as part of The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations.
Celebrations taking place in St Vincent and the Grenadines over the Central Weekend include an Art and Photography Exhibition at the National Public Library and a Diamond Jubilee Beacon Event at the Botanical Gardens on 4 June 2012.
Solomon Islands
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visit to the Solomon Islands as part of The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations.
Tuvalu
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visit to Tuvalu as part of The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations.
