Later on today The Queen, Prince Phillip and other members of the Royal Family will join 1,000 vessels and an expected 20,000 people on board those vessels on a journey down the River Thames.
Crowds are already gathering to line either sides of the Thames to pay tribute to Queen Elizabeth in her 60 year reign. The flotilla is expected to pass each of the main bridges along the Thames as follows;
2:25pm – Battersea Bridge
2:45pm – Albert Bridge
3:00pm – Chelsea Bridge
3:10pm – Vauxhall Bridge
3:25pm – Westminister Bridge
3:30pm – Waterloo Bridge
3:40pm – Blackfriars Bridge
3:45pm – Southwark Bridge
3:50pm – London Bridge
4:00pm – Tower Bridge
The nautical parade will be accompanied with music from; The Jubilee Commonwealth Chorus, The Mayors Jubilee Band and The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. The flotilla will also be able to listen to the chimes of the especially commissioned Royal Jubilee Bells. The Thames Pageant will include vessels from the formal Royal Yacht Britannia, historic boats and vessels from the armed forces.
BBC One and many other television channels throughout the World are showing live coverage of the Jubilee Thames Pageant, with millions of people viewing the flotilla from their own homes.
